ECO MARINA TUČEPI PROJECT
Reconstruction project of the existing port and extension of the nautical tourism port.
Tučepi d.o.o. (a company 100% owned by the Municipality of Tučepi) signed a 20-year concession contract with the Split-Dalmatia County, which included the expansion of the existing port for 80 new nautical berths.
The financing of the project is planned for the most part with the funds of the Port Authority of Split-Dalmatia County, which would be the project holder since through amendments to the County's Spatial Plan, the entire water area is defined as a port open to public traffic (with nautical, communal and fishing berths).
The main purpose of the eco marina concept is to establish conditions for the development of nautical tourism and the optimization of tourist traffic through the implementation of comprehensive ecological solutions, which help improve the development of tourism.
According to the spatial planning documents that are in force, the project envisages the construction of 80 new nautical berths and the modernization of 25 existing berths in accordance with ecological standards.
In order to increase the total revenues and competitiveness of the project itself, it also includes the development of additional contents and services to meet the needs of boaters (gastronomic offer, services covering minor repairs, sailing courses, diving, entertainment facilities, etc.).
In addition, the project includes the development of the infrastructure necessary for ecological tourism within the marina, as well as the creation of conditions for the development of eco-nautical tourism.
Split-Dalmatia County
The Split-Dalmatia County covers the territory of the historical region of Dalmatia and is easily accessible via the Zagreb-Split-Dubrovnik highway or via Split International Airport.
The most important economic activity of the County is tourism. In 2021, there were about 2.3 million tourist arrivals and about 13.5 million overnight stays, which accounts for 19% of the total overnight stays in Croatia in 2021.
